You need to install properly the Greek fonts. The program will install the Arial Greek True Type Font in the SYSTEM sub-directory of WINDOWS. Make sure that the font is available. If not, see instructions for manual installation of True Type Fonts.

When I go to HELP \ CONTENTS I see in the upper half of the window English text, but the in the lower half I see strange characters.

The lower part repeats the upper part but in Greek. To display the text in Greek you need the SSERIFEG.FON (Sans Serif Greek) which is used normaly in a computer with the Greek version of Windows95. You may download the sserifeg.fon fonts and substitute your current sserif.fon fonts with the sserifeg.fon. Because these fonts are used to display text, it is recomented that you ask the help of a specialist. The sserifeg.fon are NOT nessecery to run the program.

      I do not hear sound.

Make sure that your computer plays other *.wav format files. If not, check to make sure that the Sound Recorder or Media Player is installed and working properly. See your Windows manual for further information.

I am using Windows NT, the programme does not run properly (no sound available, etc.)

The 16 bit version of our programmes require Windows 3.x or Windows 9x.
They may or may not work properly under Windows NT.
The 32 bit version of our programmes require Windows 9x or Windows NT.
If you have a 16 bit version of our programmes contact us on how to upgrade to a 32 bit version.

I am using "Greek Language and Culture for the First Grade" but I cannot find a translation of the Greek text in my language.

The program is written for people who want to learn Modern Greek. We believe that somebody who wants to learn a second language must THINK in that language and not merely "translate" from his/her native language to the second one. In Many cases "plain" translation gives disastrous results.

This is the reason we do not translate to any language the Greek text but attempt to give the meaning of the words using PICTURES. There is a plethora of pictures that comes with the program. Yes, there are some situations where an abstract meaning cannot be given with a picture. The WORKBOOK that accompanies the program contains a English - Greek Lexicon for each lesson.

I am getting an error that I do not understand.

Please write down the "Error Message" and the conditions under which appeared and e-mail to us.
